They are waterproof but you need extra padding around the back of the legs to prevent significant chaffing.

I bought these for snowblowing/shoveling thinking they would be quick to put on instead of my pacs. They are easy to get on and do keep your feet dry. However, they have no insulstion and even with heavy socks my feet were cold. I also added inserts as they have no cushioning. They are handy for quick trips outside but not for extended cold weather use.

I wanted these shoes as i was going to go to Lake Tahoe for Skiing, were so warm that i was sweating inside with outside temperatures around 20F. Size is a bit big for me, others fit well. My bad i didnt check before.
